BSNL Unlimited Broadband Plan at just 249 Rs

BSNL Unlimited Broadband Plan at just 249 Rs

unlimited broadband plan
BSNL has announced its new broadband plan that offers you 10GB data  per day which is sufficient according to me :D at just Rs 249 per month. Yes you heard it right BSNL broadband plan which gives you 10GB data of freedom per day at just Rs 249.

BSNL's new Unlimited Broadband at just 249 also offers you the most demand of every person " unlimited calling". But This unlimited calling feature will be given to you only during specific time periods during the day. The telecommunication company BSNL offers you nearly three times more data than companies previous offering at low price which is a great new for all of us.

In a tweet on twitter, the company has confirmed the new plan and assures that the new plan will give 2Mbps high speed which gives the competition to other high broadband speed companies. This new plan gives 2Mbps speed with FUP of 10GB per day. The plan offers unlimited calling on Sundays which gives you a liberty to call your friends , relatives and so on  without any worry of call charges.

BSNL 249 unlimited broadband tweet

Earlier BSNL users have to do recharge of BSNL free night call plans but there will no need of that because this plan have unlimited night-time calling between 9PM to 7AM. The free calling is not limited to BSNL user's only but applies to any other network also.

BSNL company didn't  clear that whether existing users can switch to this plan or not but the company says new broadband users can get this offer by calling on toll  free number 18003451500 or by visiting any BSNL customer service center.

The BSNL customer service center will help you out further or you can get further details from them about this plan.

This new broadband offer comes right after the state-run telecommunication company announced the Rs 339 plan for mobile users. The Rs339 plan gives you the  56 GB data and unlimited calls between its own BSNL network and 25 minutes free on their telecommunication networks.

Great news for non-internet users as BSNL has also started offering free 1GB data to non-internet users under its "Digital India" initiative motto. A great initiative taken by Government of "Digital India" will now hugely spread by BSNL by providing 1GB free data to non-internet users so that they get attracted by it and will take a step towards development.

BSNL's unlimited Broadband at 249 offer is valid only till June 30, 2017. With India's average broadband speed estimated to be 2.5Mbps and internet penetration still lower than global markets, the new plan of BSNL should help more people to connect to the internet.

Reliance Jio is also planning a great plan with 1Gbps FTTH service by which the average broadband speed and internet usage is set to grow multifold this year. In the end I would say that this year there will be huge blast for you and everyone and take advantage of these plans or offers as much as you can.

Beyond 'Pokémon Go': Future Games

Beyond 'Pokémon Go': Interact with Real Objects

Human-body-vibration

The augmented-reality game "Pokémon Go" may be the hottest thing in mobile gaming right now, but new advances in computer science could give players an even more realistic experience in the future, according to a new study. In fact, researchers say a new imaging technique could help make imaginary characters, such as Pokémon, appear to convincingly interact with real objects.
A new imaging technique called Interactive Dynamic Video can take pictures of real objects and quickly create video simulations that people, or 3D models, can virtually interact with, the researchers said. In addition to fueling game development, these advances could help simulate how real bridges and buildings might respond to potentially disastrous situations, the researchers added.
The smartphone game "Pokemon Go" superimposes images onto the real world to create a mixed reality. The popularity of this game follows a decades-long trend of computer-generated imagery weaving its way into movies and TV shows. However, while 3D models that can move amid real surroundings on video screens are now commonplace, it remains a challenge getting computer-generated images to look as if they are interacting with real objects. Building 3D models of real items is expensive, and can be nearly impossible for many objects, the researchers said.

Now, Interactive Dynamic Video could bridge that gap, the researchers said.
"When I came up with and tested the technique, I was surprised that it worked quite so well," said study lead author Abe Davis, a computer scientist at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Analyzing movement

Using cameras, this new technique analyzes tiny, almost imperceptible vibrations of an object. For instance, when it comes to curtains, "it turns out they are almost always moving, just from natural air currents in an indoor room," Davis told Live Science.
The distinct ways or "modes" in which an object vibrates help computers model how it might physically behave if an outside force were to interact with it. "Most objects can vibrate and move a certain amount without a permanent change to their shape," Davis said. "To give you an example, I can tap on a branch of a tree, and it might shake, but that's different from bending it until it snaps. We observe these kinds of motions, the kind that an object bounces back from to return to a resting state."

In experiments, Davis used this new technique on images of a variety of items, including a bridge, jungle gym and ukulele. With a few clicks of his mouse, Davis showed that he could push and pull these images in different directions. He even showed that he could make it look as if he could telekinetically control the leaves of a bush.
Even 5 seconds of video of a vibrating object is enough to create a realistic simulation of it, according to the researchers said. The amount of time needed depends on the size and directions of the vibrations, the scientists said.
"In some cases, natural motions will not be enough, or maybe natural motions will only involve certain ways an object can move," Davis said. "Fortunately, if you just whack on an object, that kind of sudden force tends to activate a whole bunch of ways an object can move all at once."

New tools

Davis and his colleagues said this new technique has many potential uses in entertainment and engineering.
For example, Interactive Dynamic Video could help virtual characters, such as those in "Pokemon Go," interact with their surroundings in specific, realistic ways, such as bouncing off the leaves of a nearby bush. It could also help filmmakers create computer-generated characters that realistically interact with their environments. And this could be done in much less time and at a fraction of the cost that it would take using current methods that require green screens and detailed models of virtual objects, Davis said.

"Computer graphics allow us to use 3D models to interactive simulations, but the techniques can be complicated," Doug James, a professor of computer science at Stanford University in California, who did not take part in this research, said in a statement. "Davis and his colleagues have provided a simple and clever way to extract a useful dynamics model from very tiny vibrations in video, and shown how to use it to animate an image."
Major structures such as buildings and bridges also vibrate. Engineers can use Interactive Dynamic Video to simulate how such structures might respond to strong winds or an earthquake, the researchers said.
"Cameras can not only just capture the appearance of an object, but also their physical behavior," Davis said.
But, the new technique does have limitations. For example, it cannot handle objects that appear to change their shape too much, such as a person walking down the street, Davis said. Additionally, in their experiments, the researchers used a stationary camera mounted on a tripod; there are many technical hurdles to overcome before this method can be applied using a smartphone camera that might be held in a shaky hand, they said.
"Also, sometimes it takes a while to process a video to generate a simulation, so there are a lot of challenges to address before this can work on the fly in an app like 'Pokémon Go,'" Davis said. "Still, what we showed with our work is that this approach is viable."
Davis will publish this work later in August as part of his doctoral dissertation.

How Digital Signage can benefit Small Business Owners

Digital signage is a digital sign displayed on a monitor in a location-based business. Some common places for digital signs include offices, banks, waiting rooms, lounge and restaurants. Small businesses can use them to improve the customer experience while also adding revenue.

Digital signage serves a variety of location-based purposes for small businesses. Also, as each business is different so digital signage can be customized to fit specific needs.

One of the main reasons that many businesses are looking forward to adopt it, is the versatility it offers. Once the monitors are installed it becomes easy to change the content on the screen.

Let’s have a look at some of the major benefits of using free open-source digital signage software’s.

Why Open-source?

Open-source digital signage software allows businesses and developers to configure their own customizable apps and programs that will run on their network of displays. This is achieved by using computer programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.

Many small businesses are pretty open about their needs and just want to have content appear on a screen. Also, you don’t have to pay out of pocket for the services as they are free which is great for businesses on a budget.

Know your needs

Before opting for open-source digital signage software it’s always better to know your needs, knowledge, resources, and budget. If you are under the impression that open-source is good just because it’s free then always remember that you’ll need to have the skills to actually make it work or you’ll end up spending more money than a proprietary alternative.

Customize as you like

Another major advantage of deploying open-source software is that it allows you to customize the features and settings according to usage which can always be aligned with your exact preferences. If you need to make any changes then all you need to do is to reconfigure the source code to adapt.

Flexible

Open-source digital signage software is flexible which allows you to configure it according to your needs. With a vendor’s proprietary software, you’re tied to their priorities but as open-source licensing is free to the public, you’re not locked into anything.

Stability

OSS software is extremely stable as it goes through rigorous testing and has faster release cycles which mean that you don’t have to wait for a long time. Also, security is never an issue as everyone and anyone can modify the security issues in OSS once they are found.

To Conclude…

Most of the free and open source digital signage software’s doesn’t require any special equipment to work which makes it ideal for small businesses. By simply deploying any software and a couple of old workstations, you can easily set up a digital signage server that can push out images and video to kiosks automatically.

iPlum lets you call internationally for as low as one cent per minute

Traveling internationally is pricey enough as it is, but international roaming can send the cost soaring even higher — T-Mobile’s calling rates, for example, range from $1.99 (Aruba) up to $10.79 (Diego Garcia) per minute. That’s where iPlum comes in: by leveraging your phone’s Internet connection, the service is able to offering dramatically lower rates than many of its competitors — as cheap as one cent per minute.

It works like this: You install the iPlum app on your smartphone or tablet, then sign up for an international calling pass. For $1 a month, you can place encrypted calls over a Wi-Fi or cellular connection from anywhere in the world at low per-minute rates, and calls to other iPlum users for free. You get a real U.S. phone number that others can use to reach you, plus a bevy of extras including unlimited toll-free calling to the U.S., the ability to send and receive text messages, and a second, “virtual” phone number for privacy.

iPlum’s conceit — cheap voice-over-Internet — isn’t original. Apps like Whatsapp and Viber operate in much the same way, running atop a data connection to carry voice to and from your handset. But those services require that all calling parties download an app, a difficult proposition for landline users. Some VoIP alternatives such as Vonage and Skype offer international landline calling, but usually at inflated rates; a pay-as-you go Skype call to a landline Germany, for example, costs 2.3 cents per minute.

iPlum has its downsides. Its reliance on an Internet connection puts it at a competitive disadvantage to companies like Rebtel and Ringo, which offer cheap international calls over local cellular connections. But compared to major U.S. carriers, iPlum’s pricing ain’t bad: an entry-level international calling add-on costs $10 per month on T-Mobile and $30 on AT&T.

iPlum is compatible with Android and iOS, and is available from the Google Play and App Store.

Google's Android N may be called Nutella

Like always, this time too the speculations over the name of the Google's upcoming mobile operating system 'N' are on in full swing. The search giant traditionally names its OSes after desserts. From Froyo to Gingerbread to Ice cream sandwich to Jellybean to Kitkat to Lollipop to the current verion Marshmallow all have been named after sweets.

So, this time too Android users are wondering what will the 'N' in Android N stand for. And if one goes by the hint from Hiroshi Lockheimer on Medium, it may be Nutella.

Concluding his post on Android N on socialmedia platform Medium, he wrote, "So, the burning question that's on everyone's mind: what will the N release be named? We're nut tellin' you yet."

Though, this is not a clear giveaway that the name will be 'Nutella', it surely raises chances of the name being 'Nutella.'

Google on Wednesday gave developers early look at the next version of Android in a move aimed to get the software into a wider variety of devices.

"We're doing something a little different this year by releasing the preview early... really early," Google vice president of engineering Dave Burke said in a blog post.

"By releasing a 'work in progress' build earlier in development, we have more time to incorporate developer feedback," he said.

New features touted by Google include the ability for applications to launch split-screen modes on smartphones or tablets.

Android is also continuing to invest in Project Svelte, which aims to reduce the amount of memory space required so it can run on a broader range of devices.

So guy's what you think what it should be? Suggest your names :)

The Future of Last Year’s 5 Disruptive Technologies

Raju Vegesna, Chief Evangelist, Zoho

Cloud Computing & SaaS

The cloud market is flush with funds and flourishing as of now. Going forward, we will see consolidation of the cloud technologies. Companies that do not have a good business model will go out of business. It’s already happening, and it’s natural given that there is a lot of competition and limited exits. This trend will continue in 2016 and for the years to come. When it comes to India, however, we will see many companies entering the cloud, particularly in SaaS sector. More VC funds will reach India, and there will be an accelerated growth, even though the global market will be slow. India is a great place to start a company because of the talent that is available here.

“There is an explosion in the number of smart devices that have emerged but there is definitely a need for consolidation. Google and Apple play an important role in this segment, but we are still at an early stage.”

Information Security

The coming year does not look peaceful as it will be a lot more chaotic in 2016. We will see many more attacks and ransom demands from hackers. For the vendors, security will be a high priority. We can also expect stricter regulations from the governments, and a push for hosting data in the same country.

Tangentially related to the issue of security is privacy. Going forward, it’s going to be a very important theme. More and more consumers are becoming aware about privacy issues, and are pushing to protect it. This would be a challenge for companies with ads-based revenue model. The movement for protecting privacy has already started, but this is a trend that will go beyond 2016. This is just the beginning.

Storage

The storage market is moving in the right direction. Commoditization of the market has led to drop in prices of per GB storage, and this trend will continue. Google has slashed its rates, Apple and Amazon have entered the market bringing down the rates further. These sectors have become commoditized, and now it’s the turn of software infrastructure. Even when it comes to enterprise on-premise storage, vendors are struggling to survive. They have two trends working against them: one, storage has become cheaper, which means in order to survive, they have to cut down their margins; second, more and more companies are moving to the cloud, which makes it harder for them to find customers.

Enterprise mobility

Since everyone is moving to the cloud, enterprise mobility has moved up a notch, and players like Google and Apple have opened doors to partnering with several companies to provide business solutions to enterprises. Most organizations have realized the benefits of the cloud and BYOD (bring your own device), despite security and privacy governance issues. There are only a handful of vendors in mobile device management (MDM) sector right now, and we will see more vendors enter this market in the coming year.

IoT

IoT is going to be the next big thing in the year 2016 as it is going to see products integrated with technology. It will enable good products to become better products. There is an explosion in the number of smart devices that have emerged but there is definitely a need for consolidation. Google and Apple play an important role in this segment, but we are still at an early stage. Such companies are dependent on the ecosystem to develop and mature, and that is yet to take place.

Big Data: A Strategic Lever to Drive Growth

There is no doubt that big data analytics will play a major role in the whole digital disruption that is happening in India today. Organizations have understood the importance of big data analytics and what it can do for their business. They are now using big data analytics as a strategic lever to help drive top line growth, optimize costs and mitigate risks.

Big data can heavily influence organizations’ performance

Organizations today perceive big data to be critical for a wide spectrum of strategic corporate goals, from new revenue generation and new market development to enhancing the customer experience and improving enterprise-wide performance. However, this has led to a war for talent. In fact, one of our surveys highlights that in India, 53 per cent of companies noted a lack of talent to implement big data with 43 per cent noting the need for talent to run big data and analytics on an the rest of the world, ongoing basis. To tackle this problem of talent scarcity, we recommend companies focus on building skills. They should hire external resources, staffing up when possible, developing internal skills through training and development.

Find and analyze the relevant data

In today’s hypercompetitive business environment, companies not only have to find and analyze the relevant data they need, they must find it quickly. The challenge is going through the sheer volumes of data and accessing the level of detail needed, all at a high speed. Big Data infrastructure is getting faster & faster. In-memory solutions will address lightning-fast data processing & equally fast data storage and updates.

Finding the right talent is an issue

Talent challenges are likely to be a concern for companies. Indian companies think big data is transformational and will revolutionize their business in the same way Internet did. Even early practitioners see competitive advantage in big data and are rapidly moving to disrupt their own data practices.

Hybrid cloud model to get a boost

We see hybrid technology structure becoming a force multiplier this year. We also saw organizations increasingly adopting open source technology for analytics in combination with classical technologiesin 2015 and we expect more companies to follow suit. This hybrid mechanism gives companies an option to adopt newer technologies while keeping some of the legacy systems within the organization.

IoT and Big data share symbiotic relationship

The Internet of Things (IoT) has a major influence on the Big Data landscape. IoT is definitely an exciting prospect from the Big Data perspective but we need to quickly improve our whole setup to handle the impact of IoT on the Big Data landscape. There are a few areas of concern and security and privacy and data collection efficiency are probably the most pressing problems we are facing. Security compromise and inefficiencies in data collection mechanisms result in a loss of reputation, time, effort and money.

Big data and the end-consumers

The use of Big Data is helping leading companies to outperform their peers. In most industries, established competitors and new entrants alike will leverage data-driven strategies to innovate, compete, and capture value.

Big Data delivers significant benefits for end-consumers. Some of the benefits include improved customer experience as Big data enables data crunching of varied data sources like device data, network data, customer feedback data, and social media data in real time/near real time and help improve customer experience.
